Coffee Table Rehab // Store Front

When you start your week off at Disneyland and throw in the beach, Friday comes super fast.  No complaints here. The Dahl and I are heading to SLC for a girls weekend and a baby shower!
I am having a new nephew in the next few weeks and we are so excited. It's been almost 5 years since any new babies have popped into the family.

If you were following along on insta this past week you got a few peeks at some of the new items coming in the shop this next week. But I thought I would share a few updates Spring has brought to my store front.

I have been racking my brain for a sweet idea for potted plants out front, we happened to a few coffee tables that needed some work so they got a {re}hab.

Pretty much just split them down the middle. With a hand saw.

Mounted them to the brick. I didn't even change their color and finishes. I thought it would be cool to be all miss matched. just the right feel for a vintage shop yay?

It's coming right along. A few pots like this DIY are happening today. Insert buy arrows.

Oh and a swing may come into play....stay tuned.

Rose Bowl Flea Market // The latest adventure

I know we are glad it's Friday. After the week I've had it's a huge sigh of relief. Loads of laundry later... My bags are pack...and the kids to! We are headed to Cal-if-orn-ia!

The best part about my job is the shopping. Finding new lines to bring in the store, the best of the best, but most of all I love the hunt for the vintage furniture. The Rose Bowl is a favorite source....so much to see and swoon over.

My kids are going to spend the day with family friends...but the hubby is all on board for the search.

I wish you could all come along.......the next best thing is instagram. I would love for you to follow me along here or search me under recycleddesign. I will be sure to entertain you with all kinds of treasures.

If you stick around you will even catch a few moments at the Happiest Place on Earth....yup the 3 year old talked us into a visit with Mickey again. Damn he's good.

3 DIY's I need to accomplish.....

Good morning doll face. I am getting organized to leave for the weekend...I'll share my super exciting plans on Friday so be sure to tune in. Until then there are 3 dance performances, Beauty and the Beast practice, soccer, and many loads of laundry. The weekend cannot come quick enough!

I have a few DIY's I really want to cover/try....I am not a huge creative mind when it comes to DIY's but these are a few things I have run across I must do.

I have a pair of white Zara jeans that need a little distressing...they are not quite skinny enough so I have to roll them. I think a wee bit of fray would go along way. Anyone ever done this? I am gonna try.

I need to make this salad in the worst way. I think a little goat cheese would be marvelous in it as well.

Forced bulbs arte everywhere...and not super cheap either. I am pretty sure I have a bag of bulbs in the garage and I plan to make this happen asap!

Tattly Tattoo Shoot Reveal.....

I am about to make your Monday a whole lot better.

I may be late getting my post up again. You will overlook it, I swear.

Remember a few weeks I posted about our hip tattoo line we started carrying in the shop?

Yeah, I knew you had.

To say we are obsessed would be a understatement. Lucky for me I have an out of this world handsome little person that loves tattoos. He is even camera friendly! My good friend Sara  hooked me up with an amazing photographer Jostlyn from Roz Photography. She seriously got the vision I wanted for the shoot and we had loads of fun to! 

Prepare to be overloaded with the most adorable kids sporting their favorite temporary tats. Happy Monday.

Dahl Styles: Zara Tops

I have created a monster. By monster I mean a seriously cool girl that loves shopping and fashion as much as her mama. Her taste may even rival mine.  Have you all met my little Haislee Dahl....or Dahl as we like to call her.  What a great job I have being able to collaborate with her on these posts. 

I am uber proud of this pic I shot after church last Sunday. I came out to leave and she was laying under the tree enjoying the sunlight. Thank the lord for iPhones or I would have missed this weirdly cool image.

No filter...just sayin.  Every week this wee one looks through the mail to find catalogs she may shop in Tea, Boden etc. but Zara.....Zara has her heart. Because of her fashion obsession and my need to post, the Dahl has put together a Spring look that will be the talk of the playground.

Fine Linens on a Monday morning.....

It's that time again....the time when I get the itch to switch up my bedding for Spring.

I am such a cold person all the time that winter bedding requires many layers.

I added an arctic fox fur comforter back in November...I thinky it's time to be stored till the next frost.

How do you all like to mix things up? I am thinking about keeping my West Elm Duvet and adding some printed sheets. I like classic, so nothing to crazy that I will get bored of.
